Greetings from Las Vegas, where the Stanley Cup Final continues to move along for its third trip across the United States! I’m incredibly grateful to The Hockey News for allowing me to help represent our main site coverage. Because I don’t often get to venture out beyond my regular Toronto Maple Leafs coverage, this has been a fantastic opportunity. That didn’t mean there wasn’t any Leafs content here, but I’m wearing a lot of different hats while on the road, which has made the trip well worth it.

When I first got the go-ahead for the trip, the next challenge was booking everything as comfortably and cheaply as possible. This would normally be a difficult undertaking if I weren’t already well-experienced in self-employed travel over the last five years. But thanks to my travel hacking muscles currently being ripped, I was able to flex big time into one of the largest accommodation savings I have ever securedβ€”a deal I had only managed to pull off once before in my life.
