Five Nights in Vegas For $6 And Other Travel Hacks I Used To Book Travel For The Stanley Cup Final
How a clever combination of elite status matching, waived resort fees, and alliance miles turned a potentially pricey assignment into a masterclass in budget travel hacking.
Greetings from Las Vegas, where the Stanley Cup Final continues to move along for its third trip across the United States! Iβm incredibly grateful to The Hockey News for allowing me to help represent our main site coverage. Because I donβt often get to venture out beyond my regular Toronto Maple Leafs coverage, this has been a fantastic opportunity. That didnβt mean there wasnβt any Leafs content here, but Iβm wearing a lot of different hats while on the road, which has made the trip well worth it.
When I first got the go-ahead for the trip, the next challenge was booking everything as comfortably and cheaply as possible. This would normally be a difficult undertaking if I werenβt already well-experienced in self-employed travel over the last five years. But thanks to my travel hacking muscles currently being ripped, I was able to flex big time into one of the largest accommodation savings I have ever securedβa deal I had only managed to pull off once before in my life.
